Wednesday, 2 December 2020:

Latest on road closures in Upper Stowe. Gigaclear have postponed the road closures in Upper Stowe to 7th December. This will last for approximately two weeks. Residents will have access.
This is to enable the Dairy Craft Centre to reopen on 2nd December following the lockdown and to have a few days without having to deal with the road closures.

Regarding the verges and roads. Unfortunately we accelerated work in the village as the Parish Council is aware, to get broadband sooner than replanned and also had to do some manoeuvring of road closures to help out businesses. This meant working to the wire of when civils are possible near Christmas. We will be cleaning all roads once finished. In this weather, if we did it continuously on roads as narrow as the ones in villages we’d get nowhere fast. The verges, as per parish update and Gigaclear dig leaflets, are all spiked and seeded once totally finished and when they’ll germinate, i.e the spring.
